Hi, I’m Pete, a Birmingham based photographer and here's a little about what makes me tick.
I love mountains! Where you’ll find me wrestling my bike up a climb, backcountry skiing or inching my way up a rockface. I love the balance and stillness of tai chi, reading books that open my mind and am learning to play the ukelele. My favourite place is a little mountain town called Nelson.
My first camera was an Olympus OM10 and I remember making notes about light and exposure for every shot before sending the film off to be processed or developing my own prints in a dark room. One of my images won a photography competition in a mountain bike magazine and I photographed my first wedding soon afterwards. I’ve since shot weddings all over the UK, worked with some great clients on a wide range of commercial events and had heaps of fun shooting family portraits. Photographing people and capturing the emotion of a moment is what I am passionate about.
